Samphire Cottage is a cosy former fisherman's terrace cottage in picturesque fishing village Porthleven. It is set over three floors and people with mobility issues may find the steep stairs an issue. Older guests might need to bear in mind that the bedroom and bathroom are three stairways apart. This bijoux cottage is 5 mins walk to the beach and centre of town. Porthleven is one of the prettiest and most sought after fishing villages in South west Cornwall. It has a wealth of excellent places to eat, drink and hang out. Safe beach and surfing . We accept dogs and there is a vast choice of beautiful walks . We are just off the Cornish coastal path. The cottage has one luxury bedroom with a super comfy king size bed. The sitting room on the ground floor has two comfy sofas , a log burning fire, large flat screen TV with free view, netflix etc. The well equipped kitchen has all you need to prepare your meals and enjoy the fantastic local fish and ingredients.

Porthleven has become of hub for all things foodie, with a choice of restaurants, pubs, bars and street food venues. It is host to the Porthleven Food Festival each April which attracts up to 20.000 visitors over its 3 nights. Porthleven has a long, sandy beach part of which is dog friendly. The coast path is easily accessed from the front door or a few minutes drive away. From Porthleven you can walk towards Penzance and Mousehole and beyond to the stunning Penwith peninsula or the other way towards the Lizard with its stunning beaches and scenery. Take boat trips to sea dolphins, whales and seals on the way. Go surfing at Porthleven head or Praa Sands or further afield to Sennen or St Ives. All in easy reach by bus o,train or car. Penzance is the nearest station with trains from London, Bristol, Edinburgh at Newquay airport. S.W. Cornwall is full of iconic sights the most famous and stunning is St Michaels Mount at Marazion which is a bus ride away. St Mawes and the Fal estuary are close and easily accessed with in an hour or less. The moors offer a different perspective with its standing stones, stone circles and settlements from the Neolithic period. The scenery in this part of Cornwall is at its wildest, most untamed and spectacular. There is a wealth of things to do and see and also the opportunity to kick back , soak up and chill out in one of the most beautiful places on earth.
