Porthminster Beach, St Ives

A view between the palms, over the white sand and turquoise sea towards St Ives. This is Porthminster beach, possibly the best in this popular seaside town.

Whilst Porthmeor beach on the other side of the headland has the appeal of the Atlantic waves, Porthminster has more of the feel of a riviera beach to it. It is backed by manicured lawns and home to the highly acclaimed Porthminster Beach Cafe.

Porthminster is also the easiest beach to get to in St Ives. Right behind is the train station, whilst just up the hill, at the Malakoff, is the bust station.
