Visible from the Fort lies the Rame Head Peninsula, surrounded on three sides by the sea.

A coastal heritage protected area.Accessible by road up to the coastguard station, and then by foot to the Chapel on the headland.

A lovely walk amidst wild ponies. To the left lies Plymouth breakwater and Plymouth Sound, and to the right is the 5 miles stretch of Whitsand Bay, with Looe in the background.

Visit Rame church on the way, which stills holds its services by candlelight, as their is no electric.
